GW3 is an independent, regional economic development body that represents and advocates for the Mackay Isaac Whitsunday region.

It is funded by the three regional councils along with project and grant funding. The organisation is led by an independent governance board; has a Chief Executive Officer and an administration, communications and project team located across the entire region.

GW3 is also the parent company of C-Res, a cost-neutral entity which delivers the Local Buying Program in partnership with BHP across BHP communities of interest in Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and Western Australia.
