WHITSUNDAY SKYWAY PROJECT

Construction of a 1km gondola cableway to approximately 430 m above sea level to connect the centre of Airlie Beach to the summit of an un-named hilltop in the adjacent Conway National Park, to provide scenic vistas over the Coral Sea & Whitsunday Islands. Summit cafe & Indigenous cultural interpretive centre, tree top ropes course. Construction of a network of up to 33.5 km mountain bike trails with linkages to walking trails of the wider Conway National Park, & other off-road bike & walking trails. Regionally focused cultural interpretive centre to deliver education & experiential outcomes around the Gia & Ngaro Peoples’ traditional connection with the land. Construction of cable car towers & base stations.
