The playbook will not only support our region to grow and thrive but also provide innovative and disruptive solutions to workforce attraction and retention; reskilling and meeting the emerging workforce needs.

Ensuring the next generation are well equipped when entering the workforce, it is important to continue to grow skills and build a comprehensive understanding of the career opportunities in the region. The Greater Foundations programs aimed at improving educators’ knowledge of the wide range of career opportunities available in the region.
Preparing an emerging sector workforce.
With a changing economic and technological landscape and new industries, it is important to prepare for an emerging workforce. GW3 is working to identify the skills needs and training gaps for emerging sectors, such as aquaculture, aerospace, biomanufacturing and digital.
Evolving our current workforce.
Evolution is critical to ensure the region’s workforce keeps up with the changing economic landscape and continues to deliver positive results. GW3 secured grant funding to run the Greater Digital Skills Program, focused on upskilling businesses with critical digital skills to address key workforce challenges.

The RJC Program coordinates regional communities, industry, and government to identify opportunities and challenges for local skills development, workforce participation and business growth.
