Fuelling growth and heritage.

The Isaac local government region hosts 30 operating coal mines with another two under construction and 27 more in advanced development phase. However, mining is not the only contributor to the region’s $40.035 billion in economic output and GRP of $26.7 billion.

Key to the region’s diversity are strong livestock and agricultural portfolios, as well as an active cultural industries sector with the arts, history, community, and storytelling delivered via time-honoured institutions including the Clermont Historical Centre, Nebo Museum, Coalface Art Gallery and Dysart Art Space.
