A combination of dragline, large excavator, truck & bulldozer equipment to extract 15 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of run-of-mine (ROM) coal for 10 Mtpa of product coal to be railed out via the Goonyella Abbot Point rail line. A ROM stockpile area to include a dump station with dump hopper, conveyor, crusher & surge bin. The coal handling & preparation plant (CHPP) to be developed as 2 x 1100tph modules or 3 x 700tph process trains & to comprise a 2 stage dense medium cyclone & spiral/reflux classifier & froth flotation with a co-disposal system for rejects management. Conveyor from the product stockpiles to the train loadout which is to be constructed on a new 7km loop & a spur to the Goonyella Abbot Point rail line. A Mine Infrastructure Area (MIA) to include office & administration facilities, worker amenities, a modular sewerage treatment plant, heavy & light vehicle washdown areas, workshops/servicing facilities as well as bunded storage areas for fuel (diesel storage tanks for 800l), lubricants & oil. Duplication by Sun Water of the existing Burdekin to Moranbah water pipeline as the George Weir to Byerwen pipeline to supply this project. As required over time, five diversion channels around open pits & waste rock dumps, ground water monitoring bores, dams (clean, mine & sediment affected water & turkeys nest for co-disposal) & in pit sumps. Roadworks to include haul roads, access roads & vehicle crossings (bridges, overpasses) for the Goonyella Abbot Point rail line. Main gate & security building.
