LOTUS CREEK WIND FARM

Construction of a 285MW wind farm at Lotus Creek on the Connors Range 20km west of St Lawrence comprising 46 Vestas wind turbines each up to 7MW & associated infrastructure with an estimated output of around 341MW. The project will supply electricity directly into the national electricity grid. Point of connection to the existing 275 kV overhead powerline will be through a proposed transmission line running through the site & substation in the eastern portion of the site. Hardstand infrastructure. Permanent wind monitoring masts. Substations. Site offices, workshops & warehouses. Small offices, lunchrooms, amenities & ablutions. Workers accommodation camp. Gravel-capped roads. Underground power and communication cables. Medium-voltage (33 kV) overhead powerlines. High voltage (275 kV) overhead powerlines. New fencing with grids & gates. Laydown & stockpile areas.
