Located in the heart of tropical North Queensland, the Whitsunday Region sits approximately 1,100 km north of Brisbane and 700 km south of Cairns. The region is home to the key townships of Bowen in the north, Collinsville to the west, Airlie Beach in the south, and Proserpine just inland.
The Whitsunday Region is famous for being home to one of the world’s seven natural wonders, the Great Barrier Reef, and the stunning 74 Whitsunday Islands, including Hamilton Island, Daydream Island, and Hayman Island. But the region is much more than just a coral coast paradise—it also boasts extensive national parkland, ancient rainforests, and exotic wildlife. From lush cane fields to wide open valleys, mountainous ranges, and fertile agricultural pastures, the Whitsundays offer a diverse and spectacular landscape.
