PORT OF MACKAY MIDDLE BREAKWATER PIPELINE RELOCATION

Relocation of Port of Mackay middle breakwater pipeline. Scope of work comprises: excavate trenches for the new below ground alignments. Construct precast concrete relieving slab & mass concrete plinth footings for the below ground alignment within the existing hardstand extents. Demolish existing underground culvert for decommissioned tallow pipes. Provide new LV cable pits with appropriately rated frames & covers. Demolish existing above ground electrical/comms conduits, cable ladder & associated supports & covers & relocate services to new below ground conduits and/or above ground conduits on new cable ladders. Provide new LV electrical & comms cables to maintain supplies to existing facilities whilst allowing their routes to be relocated. Provide all temporary works required to maintain LV electrical/comms services to existing facilities throughout construction. Existing NQBP fibre optic cable feeding between pump shed on Ken White Avenue & Foam Equipment building to be replaced with a new line drawing from the pump shed. Tie-in new below ground pipelines with existing pipelines at below ground & above ground alignment interface for the following services. Firewater pipeline Diesel pipeline (Ampol). Diesel pipeline (Atom). Ethanol pipeline (Wilmar) & electrical LV & comms ducts. Construct new steel support arms off the existing concrete upstand/hardstand near Wharf 1 to tie-in new potable water & fire water pipelines to the foam equipment building. Construct steel guardrail in front of section of existing concrete upstand where new support arms are to be constructed & at above ground interface. Construct new steel support arms beneath the existing slab of the foam equipment building to tie-in new fire water pipeline to the building tie-in location. Construct new support footings for foam pipeline between Wharf 1 pipe bridge & foam equipment building, within the rock armour. Removal of Wharf 1 memorial plaque prior to construction, to be removed to a storage location nominated by the Principal. Construct concrete diaphragm wall at the end of the below ground alignment and Wharf 1 interface
