The vision for the subject land for a long term masterplan for a holiday destination & coastal lifestyle location featuring a sustainable village-style setting with a vibrant village heart & a range of tourism, centre, community & residential activities surrounded by an extensive network of connected natural green spaces. It is expected the development will take at least 20 years to complete on a stage by stage basis with interim infrastructure arrangements proposedwhere necessary. Passive open space/constrained land (over all areas of environmental significance & coastal hazard. Eco tourism (nature based tourism, short-term accommodation, resort complex & associated uses). Eco Village Centre Activities (centre, community & tourism activities – maximum 2000sq m GFA). Eco Village Green active open space (park). Medium Density Eco Residential (multiple dwellings & short term accommodation). Low Density Eco Residential Type 1 (minimum lot size of 800sq m) within the existing Township Zone. Low Density Eco Residential Type 2 (average lot size of 2000sq m). Road Network including public roads over main roads providing public access to the Village Centre, Eco Tourism & Sarina Inlet. The provision of infrastructure for the Sarina Beach Eco Village is intended to be as self-sufficient & sustainable as possible with on-site, communal or reticulated systems appropriate to the nature and scale of the use for effluent treatment & re-use, potable & fire-fighting water supply, electricity (including renewable energy options) & telecommunications (mobile).
