SYDNEY STREET WATER MAIN WORKS

Construction of a new water main for the replacement of the existing ageing water main at Sydney Street between River Street & Shakespeare Street. Scope of work includes: site establishment & disestablishment. Supply & installation of temporary fencing & project signs. Hydrostatic testing, disinfection & flushing of installed mains. Earthworks including dewatering of trenches & confined excavations. Design & carrying out of horizontal directional drilling works. Saw-cutting of existing pavements, footpaths &/or kerbs. Protective treatment works including concrete footpaths, footpath pavers. Decommissioning of the existing main & valves. Reinstatement of the disturbed pavement areas which includes construction of unbound & asphalt pavements. Supply & installation of road furniture, signage & pavement marking. Disposal of all waste, excess & contaminated materials off-site at a registered location.
