THE MACKAY RING ROAD PROJECT STAGES 2 & 3

Mackay Ring road stage 2 to include construction of a 2-lane rural highway 8.2km in length from Bruce Highway north intersection to Harbour Road, connections at Glenella-Richmond Road & Valley Street, connection of northern suburbs to the Paget Industrial Area & connections between the Port, Racecourse Mill & the mines to the west. Stage 3 to include improvements to intersections & construction of additional traffic lanes will be carried out as required, additional connections to Portland & Slade Point Road will also be considered to support future port development.
