Community, connection and social enterprise have been the foundations of Jarrah Steen’s extensive career. Since joining GW3 in 2020, she has become a key contributor to the organisation’s strategic direction, supporting delivery across all portfolios in her role as Future Projects Lead. Jarrah works to enhance collaboration and connection across GW3’s project suite, ensuring initiatives align, integrate and maximise regional outcomes.
Jarrah’s background includes significant experience in stakeholder engagement and project management and delivery. She gained this experience through her previous senior leadership roles across not-for-profit, community service and social enterprise organisations. She has extensive experience in working with stakeholders across government agencies, private businesses, and communities and has been formally recognised for her excellence in project delivery.
Teamed with her extensive skillset and regional experience, Jarrah is also highly credentialed, having attained Certified Carbon Literate and Foundations in Directorship qualifications, a Bachelor of Social Work (Hons), Advanced Diploma Community Sector Management, Cert IV Small Business, and Cert IV Training and Assessment.
To date, Jarah has contributed significantly to GW3’s regional strategic framework, with a body of work spanning a number of strategic priority areas, including Decarbonisation Accelerated, Biomanufacturing, Greater Whitsunday METS Sector – A Revenue Diversification Strategy, Biomanufacturing Blueprint, Decarbonisation Accelerated Blueprint, Cross Industry Skilling Pathway, and Greater Whitsunday Future Skills Roadmap.
