About
With a keen eye focused on preparing our region – and our communities – for the future, Georgia relishes her role as Project Coordinator at Greater Whitsunday Alliance (GW3). In leading initiatives in Workforce Development and Biomanufacturing, she has the opportunity to lean into her expertise in sustainability and collaborative problem solving, to be part of driving economic growth across the Mackay, Isaac, and Whitsunday regions.
Since relocating from Canberra, Georgia has played a critical role in the creation of innovative solutions that address the region’s workforce challenges and prepare for future industry shifts, including Greater Whitsunday Regional Jobs Committee (RJC), RJC Case Study document, Economic Impact Assessment, RJC Action Plan, and the Greater Foundations24 Teacher Resources. She has also contributed to the Greater Whitsunday Biomanufacturing Blueprint 1.0, and the Greater Whitsunday Workforce Development Playbook.
With a Bachelor of Environment and Sustainability from the Australian National University (ANU), Georgia has a strong foundation in sustainability studies, science communication, and human ecology. Her professional journey includes significant roles in both the public and private sectors, including her experience as a Senior Consultant at one of the Big 4 consulting firms, where she worked on high-impact projects in policy, economics, and public impact. Her work is characterised by a commitment to improving environmental, social, and economic outcomes through strategic stakeholder engagement and project management.
Georgia’s move to the Greater Whitsunday region has enabled her to bring fresh perspectives and a passion for community-driven growth. She supports collaborations and contributes to projects that align with the region’s strategic goals, helping to shape a sustainable and prosperous future for the community.
